Area of Specialization

Soil Science

Expertise

Soil Fertility, Fertilizers use and Nutrient Management, Soil Pollution - Assess adverse effects on soil health and soil quality arise from nutrient imbalances in soil, excessive fertilization, consequences of environmental pollution, trace elements and organic amendments. The understanding in making farms more resilient and resistant to changing climate; can explain responses of soils to specific management practices to determine the capabilities of soils and the effects of alternative practices on soil productivity and sustainability. Land Use (have adequate knowledge to help formulate land use plans especially towards improvements of existing agricultural systems under varying environmental conditions. Understanding about the unique features and behavior of land/soil resources and the interaction of climate, can be an effective partner towards the preparation of Comprehensive Land Use Plans, Can help explore the full potential and/ or optimize the development for both agriculture and non-agricultural uses of existing land/soil).

Projects

As PI

1. Principal Investigator in the project funded by University entitled “Impact of utilization sewage sludge on physical and chemical properties of under rice wheat cropping system of Yamuna par Area”. Funded by SHUATS

As Co-PI

1. Development of barren and water scared land through agroforestry system at Deori Village, Deori research farm Meja, Allahabad, Sponsored by Rashtria Krishi Vikash Yojana, Uttar Pradesh. Since March 2018 to 2021.
