Professional Summary

Dr. Ajaz Ahmad is an experienced Agricultural and Irrigation Engineer with a solid academic foundation and extensive administrative expertise. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering and Master’s degree in Irrigation & Drainage Engineering from the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (Deemed to be University), India, and holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (Deemed to be University), India.

Currently serving as Documentation Officer in the Office of the Dean, Post Graduate Studies, SHUATS, Dr. Ahmad plays a central role in academic documentation, policy formulation, compliance reporting, research facilitation, and institutional record management. His responsibilities extend to drafting official communications, preparing academic reports, maintaining regulatory documentation for statutory bodies (UGC, ICAR, NAAC, etc.), handling data audits, and ensuring adherence to academic guidelines and accreditation standards. He actively contributes to student liaison (national and international), research project documentation, postgraduate registrations, thesis submissions, degree award coordination, and the digital archiving of academic records.

With proven expertise in academic coordination, report writing, data compilation, institutional governance support, and interdepartmental communication, Dr. Ahmad ensures transparency, accountability, and efficiency in postgraduate academic processes.

In addition to his administrative and documentation responsibilities, Dr. Ahmad’s technical specialization lies in crop water management, pressurized irrigation systems, water use efficiency, and hydrological modeling using geospatial techniques.

Respected for his professionalism, organizational skills, technical acumen, and dedication to institutional growth, Dr. Ahmad remains committed to advancing sustainable development, academic excellence, and efficient documentation practices in higher education.
